One of the many problems with early Cartier movements are their setting mechanisms. In this example you can clearly see parts are missing and broken. Unfortunately somebody made a poor attempt trying repair this!

A reconstruction was drawn on AutoCAD, parts were produced, fitted and adjusted. They now work and look original, that's our job!
