The movement number dates this watch to 1969, the year in which the Speedmaster was present to record man’s first steps on the Moon making this example one of earliest affectionately termed “Moon Watches”. 17 jewel Cal. 861 manual wind movement, matt black dial with hourly luminous batons interspaced by white minute markers, subsidiary dials at three, six and nine o’clock for minute and hour recording and running seconds respectively, white hands with luminous inserts, polished and brushed tonneau case with black tachymeter bezel and screw back, chronograph start/stop and reset buttons flanking crown on three o’clock side, fitted to the original brushed steel link bracelet with signed folding Omega clasp. Case, dial and movement signed.
